Little Taste of Things To Come
Ramesh has been in Sweden for the past five months working as part of an international cast on a touring production of The Odyssey. The production was developed under the direction of Josette Bushell-Mingo who led the collaboration between Tyst Theatre, Theatre Manu and Cirkus Cirkor.
2008…
Ramesh will start 2008 back in Liverpool, working with the Twin Vision team again. This project has been ongoing and has seen the team, work with children in Liverpool, Croatia and India. This part of the projects development will involve developing an animated short to be part of an exhibition in Liverpool (Capital of Culture 2008).
Mistero Buffo Resurrected…
Ramesh’s first solo performance – his visual adaptation of Dario Fo’s Mistero Buffo is once again being performed in 2008. The new version will include a much improved soundtrack, composed by Paul Skinner.
He has been invited to perform Mistero Buffo at the following events:
QuestFest (America), from 14-27 January 2008, a two-week festival celebrating visual theatre. The festival includes performances, residencies, workshops, and panel discussions. Spotlight (Cambodia) - An Asian Festival of Inclusive Arts - Feb 23rd March 1st 2008
Ramesh will be conducting a five day workshop ‘The Art of visual storytelling’, before performing Mistero Buffo on the 22nd February.
Adelaide Fringe Festival (Australia)
National Arts Council (Singapore), have selected Ramesh amongst Singaporean artistes and companies for Adelaide Fringe Festival, from 28 February- 1 March. Ramesh will join Maya Dance group as part of double bill – Mistero Buffo will be performed at THEATRE TWO
Glasgow School of Art (Scotland)
As part of an under graduate study of the Body as Language, Ramesh will perform for students from the Glasgow School of Art at the Tron Theatre. Performances will be followed by discussions and workshops.
